701) VINTAGE HUGE HEAVY CRYSTAL STERLING ROSARY, 13MM BEADS, 108.7 GRAMS- What is special about this rosary are the huge round crystal beads, measuring 13mm. These are large crystal beads, the largest we've come across. You will not find 13mm crystal beads easily as these are huge. The necklace part is 42 inches - very long! Add to this another 8 3/4 inches from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross. The solid sterling heavy Cross has a very handsome Corpus; it measures 1 1/4 by 2 inches, and it is marked sterling with a hallmark in the back of the Cross. The sterling Center Medal measures 3/4 inch. The rosary weighs a whooping 108.7 grams.! We the crystal beads are genuine rock crystal or quartz. The rosary is very old and predates the more modern manmade crystals. Rock crystal, also known as quartz crystal or gem crystal is mined from the earth. Rock crystal has more silicone dioxide than manmade crystal; it is heavier. The rosary has 3 replacements beads and some repairs to strengthen the links. 703) ANTIQUE DECO ROSARY STERLING SILVER & ROCK CRYSTAL WITH DESIGNER MARK- This rosary is much nicer in person because the crystal beads have life and a lot of sparkle. The contrast between the gilt and the crystal beads is also very beautiful The beads are made of rock crystal, also known as quartz crystal or gem crystal is mined from the earth. Rock crystal has more silicone dioxide than manmade crystal; it is heavier. Each crystal bead measures approx. 8mm and has a unique shape, like bicones or diamonds. The necklace part measures 32inches; the dangling part is 61/2 inches long. The Cross has a lovely deco design. The back has the designer's marks on top and at the bottom. The Cross measures 1 3/4 by 1 1/4 inches. The Center Medal shows the profile of Mary. The rosary has unique filigree spacers. The metal is gilded brass.. When you hold up the rosary against the light, you can see the gold metal through the beads, creating the most beautiful effect. The rosary weighs 48.8 grams. This beautiful antique rosary hails from the early Deco era, around 1920. $250

 

 

 

704) VINTAGE ROCK CRYSTAL STERLING ROSARY WITH UNIQUE SPACERS- This lovely vintage rosary is made of genuine rock crystal beads, which measure 8mm. Rock crystal, also known as quartz crystal or gem crystal is mined from the earth. Rock crystal has more silicone dioxide than manmade crystal; it is heavier. The rock crystal beads in this rosary are highly faceted. The basic shape is a cube, but each side is multifaceted so the beads sparkle like diamonds. A lot of work went into cutting each bead. The necklace part measures 36inches; the dangling part from the center medal to the tip of the cross is 9 inches. The handsome Cross measures 1 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches. The lovely Center Medal measures 2/3 by 1 inch. The rosary has lovely unique silver spacers. The rosary weighs a hefty 60.1 grams, an indication that the beads are indeed made of rock or quartz crystals. The reverse of the Cross and Center Medal are hallmarked indicating the metal is sterling silver. This rock crystal sterling rosary reveals it's top quality in the way the parts are assembled, so they do not break. $195

 

 

705) ANTIQUE ROSARY -1930s STERLING SILVER & ROCK CRYSTAL - This is a magnificent antique rosary! It is made of genuine rock crystal beads and sterling silver. Rock crystal, also known as quartz crystal or gem crystal is mined from the earth. Rock crystal has more silicone dioxide than manmade crystal; it is heavier. Each crystal bead measures approx. 8mm. The crystal beads are more lively in reality. The Pater Beads are double capped, and there are beautiful sterling spacers or connectors with exquisite filigree handwork. The necklace part measures 28 inches; the dangling part is 7 1/2 inches long. The back of the Cross and Center Medal are marked "sterling." The Cross measures 2 by 1 1/4 inches. The Center Medal shows Jesus in front and the reverse has Mary holding Baby Jesus. The Cross is classic with a handsome Corpus. It weighs 37.1 grams. The details on the Cross, Center Medal and the spacers are exquisite. This is a magnificent heirloom quality rosary! We believe this rosary hails from the Deco era, around 1930. $195

706) VINTAGE CUT CRYSTAL ROSARY #1- This is a very lovely crystal rosary, nicer than the picture shows because the beads have a lot of life and sparklet. Each cut crystal bead measures 6mm; the necklace part measures 28 inches; the dangling part from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross is 7 inches. The handsome Cross 1 1/4 by 2 inches. The Center Medal measures 1 inch. The rosary weighs 31 grams. The beads have little end caps at both ends, which gives it a classier look than without. . The beads throw off different colors and since the beads are multifaceted, the rosary has a lot of sparkle. $69

 

710) ANTIQUE 1930s STERLING BLACK CRYSTAL ROSARY - Perfect for a man - This is a handsome classic rosary made of sterling and black faceted crystal beads. It is a top quality heirloom rosary. Each Ave Maria oval bead measures 10mm long; each Pater Bead measures 6mm. The necklace part measures 34 inches; the dangling part is 7 inches. The handsome sterling silver Cross measures 1 1/4 by 1 3/4 inches, and the Center Medal measures 1/2 inch in diameter. The Center Medal shows more details in reality; on the one side there is the Crowned Mary holding Baby Jesus; on the back is the Sacred Heart, which this picture shows. The back of the Cross is inscribed F.S. Co. Ster, indicating the manufacturer and that the metal is sterling. A small blue enamel is attached. $175

 

 

 

 

710) ANTIQUE DECO 1930S ROCK CRYSTAL STERLING ROSARY - This is another exquisite rock crystal sterling rosary in excellent condition. This has cone or tear drop shaped beads, each measuring 8 by 9 mm.The cut of these beads is different from #709; it is quite a unique cut, with many facets, and it shows off the huge chunks of rock crystal. Each bead has decorative caps at both ends - giving it a finished expensive look. In fact, everything about this rosary screams "expensive" from the top quality crystal beads to the sterling Cross, Center Medal and spacers - all of them solid and substantial. The necklace part measures 33 1/2 inches, and the dangling part from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross is 8 1/3 inches. The Cross measures 7/8 by 2 inches, and is marked "sterling" in the back. The Center Medal measures 1 inch and is also marked "Sterling" in the back The rosary weighs a hefty 64.6 grams.
